Aromatherapy Massage

A clinical approach to applying therapeutic grade essential oils along energy meridians and visceral contact points of the back and feet to help balance sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems of the body. This technique includes four primary steps designed to support healthy emotional and physiological functions for wellbeing. Helps reduce chronic stress, strengthens immune system, reduces inflammation, and promotes proper homeostasis .

The bamboo is warmed to penetrate and relax the muscles quicker. The use of bamboo as extensions of the therapist's hands and fingers during this specialized massage will leave you feeling a deep sense of renewal. Heavenly Head Massage

Hot Stone Massage

Stone Massage is an ancient form of therapeutic massage using heated river stones as extensions of the hand. Smooth river stones are heated in water then glided with firm pressure along the body. Hot Towel Massage

This session will target a specific area (legs/feet; back/neck; or hands/arms) and is ideal for anyone who suffers from chronic pain or limited mobility due to athletic training, repetitive movements and overuse. Lomi Lomi

This technique relaxes the entire being, assisting in the letting go of old beliefs, patterns and behaviors that cause limitations and which are stored in the cells of the body. A difference from other massage techniques is that you lay directly on the vinyl of the table and you are covered by a small sheet or towel leaving most of the body exposed during the massage, while maintaining your modesty. Under body and full body strokes also help to free the energy, make the body soft, promoting free and abundant flow of life energy in the client.

Massage Cupping

Massage cupping involves the therapeutic use of plastic, silicone, or glass suction cups which create a vacuum and pull the skin and tissue up into the cup. This helps move the congested fluid underneath. Cupping is used to decrease muscle tension, treat scar tissue, decrease pain and swelling due to general tension, injury, or post-surgery. Cupping is not indicated for use with an acute injury. Please note that if you plan to wear tank tops, sleeveless dresses, or bathing suits, the marks may be visible; plan your treatments accordingly.

Reflexology is a science that deals with the principle that there are reflex areas in the feet, which correspond to all of the glands, organs and parts of the body. Reiki (pronounced ray-kee) is a Japanese technique that is very beneficial for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. Reiki is an ancient art of lying on of hands and is Japanese for "universal life energy." This healing modality is highly effective when helping to release emotional stress or hypersensitive areas.

Reiki - Energetic Healing Treatment with Mareen

This treatment includes:
Grounding you and teaching you to ground yourself. If you don't ground yourself while working with energies you can become lightheaded, dizzy, unfocused, etc. Chakra, aura, and cellular cleansing and clearing of negative energies that cause illness, judgments, and sadness as well as old and stale energies that harbor illness and overall sluggishness. Bringing in new and vibrant color from the rainbow of energies into the chakras and every cell in your body restoring its natural health. Ins ome cases, auric mending may be needed if there are tears or gaps in your aura allowing your aura to unconsciously leak out. A life force healing energy will be directed to you that your body and higher knowledge will accept and use for your greatest needs. In most cases, the client comes away from the session feeling lighter, cleaner, and joyful. CAUTION: most souls, whether animal or human, can become addicted to these wonderful energies.
What to expect in a session:
While no two sessions are alike, there is a schedule you may expect. When you first arrive, you will sign a consent form and we will talk about what it is that has brings you to this session. Then you will be instructed to lie down on the healing table in which Mareen will begin scanning your energy levels. The energy session usually lasts between an hour to an hour and 15 minutes. At the end of the healing session you are given all the time you need to come back to your senses, after which, we will discuss what the findings were and also to answer questions that come up for you. During the energy session, you may feel so relaxed that you fall asleep. This is just fine, most clients do fall asleep and many will wake up saying they know they went somewhere serene but can't remember where they were. some will remember. All of this is perfectly natural and there is nothing to be nervous or frightened about.
Before your session:

Drink water throughout your day, but be sure to relieve yourself right before arriving to the spa. Water is an energy conductor and it helps the energies to flow freely through your system without blockages occurring that can create discomfort. Drink water for the rest of the day following your energy session for the same reasons you would drink before the session.

Wear loose fitting and comfortable clothing. During the winter months, wear warm socks. You have the option to be covered in a warm blanket or not, but keeping your feet warm is helpful.

Leave your jewelry at home or take it off before getting onto the healing table.

Dry Body Brushing with Mareen

Includes "take-home" brush.
Ultra-relaxing method of stimulating circulation, lymph drainage, and renewing the look and feel of the skin. Brushing is done with a new, sanitary, natural bristle brush. In the same manner as doing a massage, brushing is lightly going over the skin to exfoliate. A quality essential oils moisturizer, is applied after the brushing to further enhance the skins suppleness. Slowly and lightly, the brushing sends you into the rest and relaxation mode, drifting into another zone. Moisturizing will then give your skin a renewed sensation. The new brush is then yours to keep and use at home for continued results.
Dry skin brushing can be just as relaxing and beneficial as any other bodywork or energy work session in improving your health.

Ear Candling
60 mins / $40; each additional candle / $2.50 and 10 minutes

Ear candling is a centuries -old practice used to remove wax buildup and inner ear blockage. This soothing application involves placing a paraffin cylinder gently into the ear. The cylinder is then lit at the opposite end to create a vacuum. This is also beneficial for sinus trouble, especially during allergy season.

The Role of the Massage Therapist
A licensed massage therapist is a professional whose role is treatment and movement of soft tissues and body joints primarily by performing therapeutic massage. A licensed massage therapist may also assist in the assessment for range of motion and muscle strength, and by proposing treatment plans. The goals of therapeutic massage are general wellness, injury recovery, stress management, palliative care and preventative maintenance.
